How to Find an Airbnb near Gangnam Station: NAVER Map and Exit Guide

QUICK ANSWER

Do not navigate using only the English Airbnb listing name. Ask your host for the full Korean road-name address, Korean building name, nearest Gangnam Station exit and a NAVER Map link. Gangnam Station has exits on both sides of a wide main road, so choosing the correct side is essential with luggage.

Information to request before arrival

  • Full Korean road-name address and building number
  • Korean building name
  • Nearest Gangnam Station exit
  • Direct NAVER Map destination link
  • Photo of the correct building entrance
  • Check-in instructions saved separately from the booking app

Message you can send your host

How to search the address in NAVER Map

  1. Paste the complete Korean road-name address into NAVER Map.
  2. Match the building name and street number with the host’s information.
  3. Set Gangnam Station (강남역) as the starting point.
  4. Check which exit the walking route uses and whether an elevator is available.
  5. Save the destination and entrance photo for offline reference.

Why the correct Gangnam exit matters

Gangnam Station serves Subway Line 2 and the Shinbundang Line. Its underground passages extend across Gangnam-daero, and accommodation described as “Gangnam” may actually be closer to Sinnonhyeon or Yeoksam Station.

  • Confirm whether the final route crosses Gangnam-daero.
  • Use an elevator exit when carrying a large suitcase.
  • Compare nearby shops and building signs with the entrance photo.
  • Check whether a taxi can stop directly in front of the building.
Privacy note: Do not post a private accommodation address, door code or check-in instructions publicly. Keep them in your booking conversation or offline notes.

If NAVER Map cannot find the address

  • Search the Korean building name instead of the English listing name.
  • Remove the room number and search only the road-name address.
  • Ask the host to share the place directly from NAVER Map.
  • If the pin and written address disagree, confirm with the host before traveling.
