Last AREX Train from Incheon Airport: T1 and T2 Times and Alternatives
The last usable AREX departure depends on your terminal, destination and whether you take the Express Train or All-Stop Train. Check the official timetable for your exact travel date after landing. Why one “last train time” can be misleading
Terminal 2 trains reach Terminal 1 before continuing toward Seoul. The Express Train and All-Stop Train also have different stopping patterns and final destinations. A departure that reaches an intermediate station may not leave enough time for your final subway transfer.
How to check the correct last train
- Confirm Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
- Decide between the Express Train and All-Stop Train.
- Enter your actual destination, not only Seoul Station.
- Check the final subway or bus connection after AREX.

How much buffer time should you allow?
Do not use the scheduled landing time as your station-arrival time. Immigration queues, checked baggage and terminal walking can add substantial time. Travelers with children, mobility needs or several suitcases should keep a larger buffer. If the timetable shows only a narrow margin, plan a backup before boarding your flight.

Check the official Incheon Airport night-bus page for routes from your terminal. Choose a stop near your hotel and calculate the final taxi or walk.
Official taxi
Use the signed taxi rank outside arrivals. Show the Korean destination and road address. Confirm taxi type, estimated fare and expressway tolls before departure.
Airport-area hotel
This can be the most comfortable choice when you have children, heavy luggage or a hotel that will not accept a very late arrival.
Wait for the first morning service
Recheck the first train before waiting and make sure your accommodation knows when you will arrive.
Ticket and luggage checklist
- Keep your terminal number visible in your itinerary.
- For the All-Stop Train, prepare a compatible transport card or purchase the required ticket.
- For the Express Train, follow the current reserved-ticket instructions.
- Use elevators when carrying large luggage and do not block train doors.
